Trail Alert: Monday 30th June - Friday 4th July - The high water detour between Milltown and the Kawhaka Pass will be put in place from mid Monday the 30th of June till mid Friday the 4th of July. Manawa Energy will be pouring some concrete at the overflow and riders will not be able to pass via the main route. Please take care and enjoy your ride.

Mahinapua Bridge Temporary Closure: Tuesday 25th June for 8 weeks - The Mahinapua Rail bridge will be closed from Tuesday afternoon (25th June) for a period of 8 weeks while contractors undertake maintenance works. A detour will be in place and a short section of the state highway will need to be used by riders.

Closure/information signs and cones will be in place at the Scenic Waterways end and the Information Kiosk end.

Totara Bridge Closure: Due to the structural condition of the Totara Bridge it has had to be closed. Riders are able to ride down to the bridge from either side but are not be able to cross it as barriers will be in place. This is an unfortunate situation that is outside the control of the Westland District Council and the Council apologises for any inconvenience. Alternative options are being explored.

Cowboy Paradise: If you are not a paying guest staying at Cowboy Paradise please pass straight through without sitting on the decks or entering any of the facilities. Refreshments and toilets are no longer available. Picnic tables are provided on the southern/Hokitika end of the main street of Cowboy Paradise. Please take all rubbish away with you and ensure nothing is left onsite. Thank you.
